Adventure 21, part 3

I hate culture flips.
I didn't even get a chance to wipe out Mongolia, and Persia now owns Nigh-hsia.
I thought I had enough time to garrison it with all of assault troops from Mongolia to prevent a flip before I turned on Persia.
This is the end of Mongolia.
This attack on the last 4 cities was really helped from sky gods.
The planning took longer to spread out among all cities, and to bombard them with catapults before calling them up.
4 cities in 5 turns is unreal in civ.

I get a scientist in 1555 AD, and throw him on the pile.
I forget how tough the original version was for flips.
I lost Samarqand to Persia.
I get another artist in 1635 AD that I throw on the pile.
I now have plenty of GP to call up the sky gods.
I declare on Cyrus in 1675 AD.
I hope I have enough Grenadiers to offset his cavalry and rifles.
I offer up an immediate sacrifice to the sky gods.

I suffer a defeat when Persia recovers Bactra.
It was to close to the capitol, and I lost multiple defenders.
I make another sacrifice to the gods to keep going versus Persia.
Fighting rifles and cavalry is tough with just grenadiers.
The Sky Gods are the key to me fighting a foe with better tech.
I finally recover the city.
This one was a pain as I only wanted to commit light forces, and kept losing 80%+ battles.
What really hurt was Cyrus moving a large stack of cavalry into the city, as I didn't have the forces in place to deal with that.
Now I can get moving forward.
I couldn't afford to leave multiple cavalry in my rear with lightly protected cities.
